confidence and ability to perform all hairdressing functions in a professional
salon.
Rich 1 Beauty will ensure that
 | Graduates
will have learned and mastered how to conduct themselves in a professional
manner, effectively communicating and how to offer high-level customer
service. Product selling and effective customer consultations will also be
taught. They will be given the
skills to perform reception duties as well as how to manage, operate and be
a successful salon owner. |
| Students will understand the execution and importance of personal
hygiene and grooming and will understand and have awareness of safety
factors involved. They will be
able to recognize the presence of disorders of the hair and scalp and know
an appropriate solution. They
will be aware of the different structures and composition of hair and have
an understanding of the physiology of the scalp, head and arms. |
| Graduates will also be efficient in shampooing, using conditioners
and rinses and performing scalp treatments. They will be given in-depth training on a variety of
techniques for hair cutting, hair shaping and style variations, using all
appropriate cutting implements. They
will also be able to create hairstyles for all hair types and lengths and be
able to demonstrate style and care for hairpieces and wigs. |
| Students will be able to apply principles of hair waving and
ironing hair (thermal styling), finger waving, setting hair and combing out
hair as well as be able to perform hair coloring, such as semi-permanent and
permanent color, and lightening of hair. |

Entrance
Qualifications:
A personal
interview with the school administrator is necessary prior to acceptance.
The school admits as regular students:

High school
graduates or applicants 19 years of age

BC resident
·
Applicants
must pay $150 non-refundable enrolment and registration fee upon acceptance into
the course of study. Payment can be
made by Visa, Mastercard, debit, cash, or certified cheque.
Cheques are to be made payable to Rich 1 Beauty.

procedures, any updates and inserts and the enrolment and registration
agreement.
